I've had similar experiences. When I got a text message from the J B Pritzker campaign, I was like "... first of all, hahaha f**k no I'm not voting for you, second, how the f**k did you get this number?" But they're all supposed to use the same database - their phone campaigns play on a level playing field, and it all comes from self-declared voter registration by state. I was kind of wrong to be so pushy to the poor campaign worker.
