Which explained the timeline of the holding of aid from Ukraine despite no official changes in policy. That the timeline concedes to the narrative of those who accurately interpreted Trump’s phone call with Zelensky as an attempted quid pro quo. But do go on echoing the alternative narrative to make you feel justified when the Senate dismisses evidence after evidence of domestic corruption.

During a Council on Foreign Relations discussion on January 23, 2018, former Vice President Joe Biden spoke about his dealings in Ukraine, he said

Im leaving in six hours, if the prosecutor is not fired you’re not getting the money. Guess what, the sob got fired.
The prosecutor was investigating Burisma Holdings for corruption, whom Biden’s son was on the board from 2014-2019 and made around $3 million.

Trump asked Ukraine to check it out. That’s within his purview as POTUS. He didn’t ask to frame Biden, but to investigate.
That NOT interference with an election. Just because someone is running for office doesn’t make them immune from being investigated.
The Larger issue is why Hunter Biden was allowed to get involved with a company that is as dirty and as crooked as Burisma? Hmmmm.

Yes, I’m quite aware of Biden’s public discussion. He believed he was showing off his political skill. I doubt he was willfully confessing to a crime and never mentioned his son or the company he worked for in his story.

It is certainly within Trump’s purview to ask the Ukraine president to check it out. But instead of asking Zelensky to investigate Burisma or checking with members of his own party why they wanted that prosecutor fired; he went directly to Zelensky, while both of them knew Trump was withholding aid, and asked him to “do him a favor tho” and Trump specifically asked him to investigate Biden. A son of a leading political. That is outside Trump’s purview. Unconstitutional. And certainly impeachable.

Certainly no one is immune to investigation while a potential Presidential candidate, like Hillary was, but Trump had a personal interest so he could not do this. That is not his job.

I’m afraid the larger issue is the President’s willingness to abuse his power. Not who Hunter Biden chooses to do business with.

Strange you’re not concerned about our President abusing our power when that was the tune whistled, often rightfully so, each time Obama signed an executive order to bypass a uncompromising, ineffectual Congress. A congress that has yet to succeed at anything still even with a Republican President. Can’t blame House Democrats. They’ve only had one year. But I’m happy to bash them in another topic that doesn’t egregiously undercut the danger of Trump continuously remaining in office.
