Moon was great. Entwistle was great. Daltry is great - underrated even, because he makes it sound so effortless, so natural, no one realizes his voice floats in the air and slices through straight to the gut at the same time.
haha, while not big on The Who as a kid, I did borrow Daltry's solo LP, "One of the Boys" from the library and recorded it (I didn't have much money then). It's beautiful.
It was like Wayne's World with Led Zep round here, got so that I couldn't bear to hear them for years. Like take a breath people, I get it, you like them, you really like them. Fhuckin neighborhood.

Years later I recuperated. While the pedestal thang can get tiresome, to me they really were a great band. Them 2 screwed over Jones with their faux reunion tho, so fhuck em.
