If the “transcript” is so accurate then why not release the tape of the phone call?

The transcript is a rough transcript. I don't think there is a tape of the call, they don't do that anymore. (Correct me if I'm wrong). There seems to be gaps and omissions in the rough transcript. I hope the impeachment inquiry can get a hold of a more complete one.

Well there are a ton of witnesses to the call. Most of them (if not all) places by trump administration. If there are no recordings and his calls are so “perfect” Trump should have no issue recording them. Then there would be no issues ever.
