Ever consider Darkness is faster?

I know in school they taught us that darkness is the absence of any light, so going by that theory then there should be nothing in darkness that can "reach" us. However, since then I've heard the theory that unseen darkness carries the elements of all light. So, it rather makes me wonder if that theory is true, then maybe darkness is just too darned tired to go fast, like a mother exhausted from giving birth?

There is no such thing as dark. Its just the absence of light.
