Basically what I'm getting at is I think I'd much rather be used for votes and otherwise "free" to do as I please than used for backbreaking unpaid labor (which is what I meant by "actual slavery") Could I theoretically be used to vote myself into backbreaking unpaid labor? Sure. But if one leads to the other the obvious choice would be the one that isn't immediate.. thus in my opinion the "ultimate" form of slavery (the worst) would be the unpaid backbreaking labor form.
