also, Mueller just went through every inch of his finances and what did he say about his finances?

His competitors? He’s President. He’s already losing that because he should have no financial income, other than federal which he claims to refuse/donate, until after his Presidency. And he has a nice severance package to keep him afloat.

If running for President was so damaging to his business, maybe he shouldn’t have run?

It is inconclusive if Mueller was able to obtain any relevant information on Trump’s finances. And his eerie conclusion that he could not “clear the President of any collusion” is entirely suspect.

Unless you’re about to shove Trump’s erroneous spin that he “must have seen them” and there was “no collusion.”

Go on.

His competitors in real-estate, The hotel industry etc. again- as said by "Forbes" and "Varney"

Mueller said NOTHING about his finances being illegal and The IRS would have to be 100% complicit if he did do something wrong..

Because you dont like him isnt good enough..

I don’t trust him.

On what little he gives.

I don’t trust a businessman who refuses to pay his workers. Who refuses to pay his debts. Who refuses to pay his taxes.

"I don’t trust him." Agreed,
"You" do not trust him, 100% true statement.

"On what little he gives."
I assume you mean to charities? well how do we know what he gives?
That statement could be 100% true or 100% false or somewhere in between, we will never know..

"I don’t trust a businessman who refuses to pay his workers. Who refuses to pay his debts. Who refuses to pay his taxes."

He refuses to pay his workers?
Then why do they work for him?

He refuses to pay his debts?
Then why doesn't the ppl owed the debt take him to court?
If they are/were in the right, the judge would do justice right?

"Who refuses to pay his taxes."? really? we just went through this, How did he get away with that?
The IRS must be complicit if that is the case? as far as I know, Income tax evasion is a crime, they confiscate all your holdings if you did something wrong ALWAYS..

What did he not pay his tax on? If that is true, the bigger question is... Why is the IRS letting him get away with it??
1 up, 5y,

Clarity: “What little *transparency* he gives.”

They don’t. They move on, silenced or write books. People do take him to court. “The judge would do right....?” Are you woefully ignorant of our justice system? Most cases are settled out of court. Offer up enough money and people eventually let you off the hook.

He is audited, often. Possibly this is happens a lot to those with millions of dollars. If he lies as well as he moves his money, I could see him potentially being able to survive tax evasion without the IRS being, as you say, complicit.

That doesn’t make him a good President. People have a right to know how he acquires his income, what it is, and where it goes. It is one of the sacrifices of holding office. Perhaps if he had entered the government the right way as a Senator or Representative, or at least got a law degree, maybe he would’ve rethought his sad excuse of a Presidency.

"Are you woefully ignorant of our justice system?"

Nope, Just wanted you to say "Government is corrupt"(in so many words) TY

"He is audited often" which proves my point even more, if he farts they will be up his ass.

"That dosnt make him a good president"
I didnt say he was, he is just not as bad as the last 3 idiots we had.

He is an arogant, foul mouth jerk who just so happens to be doing a better job at potus than the last 3, thats all.

I was unaware. In most cases, it is illegal for a government official to run a business on the side. Apparently, a President and Vice President is exempt from that. Though, they still can be impeached if they violate the emoluments clause, but there would need to be significant evidence to prove that. And, more importantly, a willing congress to impeach.

I’m so sorry if you think my opinions don’t have much value. Though, you do occasionally invest in making despairing comments on them. Perhaps if they have no value, you should reconsider limiting your responses to them.

At the same time, I welcome your differing opinions. Just maybe not your petty attempts to bait me into responding emotionally. But they are certainly, at the very least, most amusing. So, I suppose you can keep trying.

“Again, you're reading things that don't exist. There's not a single personal element of my previous comment against you.

I don't think you know what "personal" or "personal attack" means. And saying that isn't a "personal attack."

You did not answer my questions:

Do you think I assume you're a Leftist because you're not a fan of Donald Trump...?

Do you assume I am (a fan of Donald Trump)...?”

Irrelevant.

There is no point in discussing our backgrounds and political ideologies.

All that matters is the argument.

Which is thus:

Trump should release his tax returns if they exonerate him of anything the media accuses of him. To fail to do otherwise will only leave him open to more speculations baseless or otherwise.

No, they don’t. They are unnecessary. No one had to be fanatical in order to have an objective conversation.

I’m not interested in discussing ourselves. I’m interested in discussing the topic.

Trump’s tax returns were nobodies business but his until he became President. In my opinion, he forfeits some of the freedoms he once had. Presidents past have done it before and he has given excuses on top of excuses as to why he cannot or won’t.

I’d make fewer assumptions if Trump’s administration was as transparent as they claim to be.

Timber1972: If you're going to be historically illiterate, your political opinions don't have much value.

You did. And that’s entirely alright. My humor is not for everyone. It’s more grating than grateful, if I’m honest. I’d much rather my opinions not matter at all. Especially if it gives me the opportunity to learn something new and allow me to continue questioning society.

“Why is something the way it is?” I ask

“Are you a moron or something?” They say

“Ah, well. Maybe you don’t know either.”

I am not a leftist. I’m not offended by anything other than your erroneous assumption. A common assumption since I’m not a fan of Donald Trump.

I don’t assume you’re stupid, merely deliberately misinterpreting facts for either due to your obvious bias. I suppose, in that way, I am claiming you’re marred by propaganda. But only in the case of the denial that there was no quid pro. For the most part you argue well. You would argue better without the personal attacks.

Again, you continue to make things personal. Can you not argue your case without bringing you or myself into it?

Personal attacks only serve to deliberately derail the conversation. They can be used to dismiss the person making the argument while the argument itself may be sound.

True, it is a good tactic to use to discredit the person thus negating the need to argue with them but it does nothing to solve the issue. A common political tactic but unnecessary between two people online just having a conversation.

The only thing I assume is that once I’m done typing, you’re going to reply. But it’s certainly no skin off my nose if you don’t. I’m sure we’ll talk again. Hopefully about the actual topic this time.

Very simple, his competitors would love to know what and where he spends on his business.
He could lose millions (as said by forbes and varney)

Downvoting my comment on my own meme. Disgraceful. What do you have to hide, Trump Supporters? I refuse to carry on my debates in hidden comments and will create a new chain. If you can’t handle what I say, and you find me offensive, go to your safe space. It appears some of you are willing to talk. I respect that.

Very good! And he deserves to be Impeached for brazenly abusing his power in his obvious attempt at seeking foreign aid to interfere in our election. And after the Senate gives him a pass, let us see those tax returns!

See? Compromise.

I’m wrong to think he was dumb to become President because he would hurt his business? That business that has filed for bankruptcy numerous times and relies heavily on name recognition equating quality? Nah, sorry. Either he should’ve learned how to politick or he should’ve stuck to his business. He can’t do both. One had to be sacrificed for him to be good at the other. He comes off as too cheap to buy his politicians through lobbyist and aimed to corrupt the system himself.

What I do is irrelevant. What you do is irrelevant. If you want a truly worthwhile debate, it’s best to leave personal ideals out of it.

I’ve made my bias of Trump obvious. That doesn’t mean you have no figurative ammo capable of bringing down my argument. And you could just say I’m bias and leave it at that.

Actually if you want us to talk personally, what exactly is your goal in debating people on IMGFlip?

Is it to inform?

To ridicule?

To let off steam?

Something else?

A combination of the bunch?

For me, if I’m memeing, I’m aware that memeing is not a way to really debate an issue. Usually they exaggerate a point to provoke a reaction or thought. They are Straw man fallacies. Not a good start to a debate.

But can a meme have wrong or misconstrued information? Yes.

Can an opinion be wrong? Maybe. If it’s an uninformed opinion.

Most people from the left or right that I upset assume I don’t know what I’m talking about. It is not wise to make that assumption but it is thoughtful to correct or inform them without insulting them.

I try to keep my insults purely to Trump. I do not take it personally if people insult, well, anyone in government because maybe like you, they have a personal reason to like them. Something deeper than just the TV or Internet told them to hate them.

I do not blame people for choosing Trump over Hillary.

I blame people for sticking with Trump after all the shit he’s pulled.

I was told over and over again that the 2016 election was about picking the lesser of two evils. I did my research.

The difference between Hillary and Trump? Trump has zero experience in how our government works. That’s why he complains about every little thing that happens to him. He’s getting a crash course in what it is to be a public servant.

Had Hillary won, so you really think I’d be sitting here complaining about how everyone attacks her if she pulled this level of bullshit? If she had fired Comey, tried to remove Muller, violated emoluments clause, and ramped up Obama’s Immigration policies to Trump-level of ridiculousness? Colluding with foreign governments to get dirt on her opponents?Pulled out of Syria?

No.

We’d both be wanting her impeached.

And rightfully so.

I thought my opinion didn’t matter? But okay.

Comey was fired. That is a fact, not propaganda. And, to my knowledge, I haven’t discussed his firing at all. Nor did I bring up Mueller apart from saying that his investigation doesn’t mean he saw his tax returns which I’m very keen to see.

I didn’t say Trump violated the emoluments clause either.

Trump’s immigration policies are not the same as they’ve been for decades thanks to the dismantling of DACA.

Trump’s collusion actually has nothing to do with the topic at all.

Never said Trump should be impeached for pulling out of Syria. And again, off-topic.

And again you accuse me of the very thing you’re guilty of.

“...think everyone who disagrees with you is likewise mired...”

I don’t pretend to be immune to propaganda. And though I’m mostly exhausted with Trump’s more enthusiastic Supporters; I’ve maintained as much respect for them as could be mustered despite their complete and utter disregard for anyone with a different opinion. Have I maintained it well? In my personal opinion, no. But, I definitely do not deserve to be labeled a Leftist for simply believing Trump to be an asshole and entirely skeptical of his achievements in all his venture as both executive of his business and the government.

If you had bothered to read all my comments, which bravo if you have, then you’d know that I don’t care much for Hillary or Obama as well. Apart from whenever they’re used to derail a topic. Especially when they have nothing to do with it.

Like when will Trump release his Tax Returns?

i dont know, alls I know is his unemployment rate is better than nixons, fords, carters, reagens, bush sr, clinton, dubya, and BHO's and our union had its best 2 yrs ever in its 120 yrs.. The building trades are in desperate need of skilled workers.
0 ups, 5y,
1 reply
That doesn't answer my question.

120yrs? You are aware Trump is anti union?

The unemployment rate should be higher - BY INTENT. An optimal economy is one were unemplyoment is no lower than 4.3%, otherwise it risks overheating as the pool of labor shrinks and wages rise. Then recession hits, and hard.
That's why in the 90s under Clinton, lending rates were raised to curtail borrowing in order to prevent the economy overheating (if you were around then you had heard that term many a time). Yes, measures were taken to SLOW the economy and keep unemployment from GOING lower than 4.3%. Welfare, believe it or not, is important to maintaining the health of the economy by giving the 4.3 an allowance so they won't stage a revolution. Remember the 1920s & 30s? So does the Goverment.

In comparison, Trump wants to lower the key interest rates to basically zero. The recession that will hit us in 2020 is gonna make the last one look like a joyride. Dems thinking winning 2020 is a good idea will be sadly mistaken, as this will be pinned on them. Heck, Trump is ALREADY blaming it on them, and it hasn't even started yet. The fart of the fake deal, in 3-D.
