I’m willing to give this a pass as it was not directed at Barron, so much as using him as a plot device to underline cruel and unusual policies.

Anyone who took Fonda seriously missed the point. But I could also see the context being easily lost.

I didn't have any bias toward or against PF until he revealed what a sick man he was. POTUS hasn't done anything to warrant all of the vicious hatred against him, his wife and his children. And I was someone who didn't really like Donald Trump, until he was elected and I saw how the media and TPTB lost their minds. That's when I realized the media/TPTB had been lying about him the whole time in order to retain their power.
You've displayed bias by downplaying what was done to Barron and belittling POTUS about whether he has empathy towards others.

If that's a legitimate threat, then please explain how then-candidate Trump saying that Russia should hack Hillary's emails isn't a legitimate invitation to a foreign government to steal state secrets (read: treason).

Trump wasn't actually asking Russia to steal state secrets. And Peter Fonda wasn't actually saying he'd do what he outlines here. Both were just saying stupid shit that they shouldn't have said.

But what happened with Ukraine? That was an actual demand. An actual threat, with actual potential consequences for the one being threatened.

False equivalence.
