Honestly it's not rocket science, and a lot of the same principals apply. Think of voltage as pressure, amps are volume or GPM, and resistance is the same. Only major difference is the medium (electrons vs. water) and we don't have to worry about gravity. The hard part (and it's not hard) is learning all the different materials and when to use one thing vs. another. That's where I fall short on plumbing, knowing when to use silicone tape, putty, which type of PVC cement, all that stuff. I've actually done work with copper pipe before and enjoy it, it's sort of like running conduit but you get to use fire too so that's cool :)
