And humans are animals.
2 ups, 5y
You're an animal, true :)

No, humans are humans. At least in my opinion. The secular scientific community classifies humans as animals, sure. Animals have no soul, and no morality.

what's your point
0 ups, 5y,

My point is we shouldn't classify humans with animals. No wonder some people care more about the environment and wildlife more than human life.
0 ups, 5y,

That's silly also.
0 ups, 5y
You keep saying that with no reasoning...
0 ups, 5y,

That's so silly.

Soul = Anima = Life
ANIMAls have Anima because they're are alive.

As for morality, despite not having Gods threatening to punish them forever and forever, guess who's more moral without even needing morals?
0 ups, 5y,

Guess who's more moral without even needing morals? Not animals. They can't be more moral. They don't know right from wrong. They follow their instincts to survive.

Also what exactly do you mean by "Anima?"
0 ups, 5y,

And yet they do not do the evil that humans do for the heck of it.

Anima is not Anime. Anima is what I told you it was. Google is your friend.
WARNING: "Soul," as in the Bible, does not mean what you think it does.

They also do not do any of the good humans do. The anime statement was a joke, and I think you may be a bit presumptuous to assume I have an incorrect understanding of what a soul is.

Nothing does the evil that humans do.

You aren't coming from and incorrect undertstanding of it?

Here's the thing:

Yahweh is:
Canaanite
or
Hebrew
or
Babylonian
or
Zoroastrain
or
Greek
or
Roman
or
Northwest European
or
You?

Audience? Well you go exit stage right, Meryl Streep, your ignorance ain't garnering you any applause.

Ya Google it yet tho? Of course you didn't.

How stupid can you be?! Last time I checked, humans were created on the same day as when land animals were created. Besides, humans have all of the same body parts that animals have.

good point, but InarenCorp may be atheist and not believe in the 7 days of Creation. I guess you mean that humans are classified under the kingdom Animalia, which of course makes them animals
2 ups, 5y
I don’t think he’s an atheist because he doesn’t believe the “secular” scientific community. What’s funny is that evolution was originally used by Charles Darwin to justify racism & speciesism.
0 ups, 5y,

No, I believe the Bible's account of Creation. But just because something has a certain classification, doesn't mean it's that thing. Hundreds of years ago underwater mammals were referred to as fish. Many other examples apply.
0 ups, 5y,
1 reply
Then what kingdom are humans in?! Obviously, we have the same organs that nonhumans have. Your analogy doesn’t apply because whales don’t have gills!
0 ups, 5y,

Characteristics don't really matter honestly. The Bible says man is created in God's image, right? Let's get that point established first.
And I think Humans should have their own kingdom because they're so distinct.
0 ups, 5y,

But it makes far more sense that God would make it obvious. Why wouldn’t he punish malice while rewarding compassion? Apes and jellyfish are seen as lesser for the same reasons that blacks were seen by whites as lesser beings.
0 ups, 5y
No, blacks were seen as lesser beings because people were (and some still are) racist. Apes and Jellyfish don't have souls, so they are lesser beings that God clearly states we have dominion over.

What about Lucy the hybrid’s preserved remains? What if a human and an ape bore a child?
0 ups, 5y
You now are using a what if?
0 ups, 5y,

Well, nonhumans are the same as humans in many ways; plants are totally different. The Bible doesn’t make clear that only humans have souls.

“The righteous know the needs of their animals, but the mercy of the wicked is cruel.” —Proverbs 12:10

“Your righteousness is like Your mighty mountains, your judgements are like the great deep; you save humans and animals alike, O lord.” —Psalms 36:6

Read up on the Dominion Mandate from Genesis. If you can't get what's intended from that, this conversation has no more value.
0 ups, 5y,

What they meant by man being created in God’s image is that humans are the only ones who can understand good & evil, like God.

So you actually believe that apes are more similar to jellyfishes than apes are to humans?! If humans are in their own kingdom, what other species are in it?!
0 ups, 5y
No other species. And in some ways, yes, apes are similar to humans. Similar does not mean the same. Chocolate cake is similar to a steak because you can eat it. They're still totally different things. I would say in this topic less focus should be on the temporary and more on the eternal.
0 ups, 5y,
1 reply
I meant that it’s ludicrous that you find apes to be similar enough to jellyfishes for both to be animals, yet apes are not similar enough to humans for humans to be in the same kingdom. Would you consider nomadic tribal humans to be humans or apes? There are some grey areas between humans and apes, even though we didn’t evolve from apes.
0 ups, 5y
Nomadic humans still have a conscience. They can be saved. They have an eternal soul. God can dwell within them. Not the same for apes. Apes and jellyfish both are creatures of lesser existence than humans. That's why I would say they should be more closely categorized than humans with apes. People when classifying things look at outward appearance. That's not what matters.

I already told you that God didn’t say that we SHOULD do it; He said that we physically (not morally) CAN do it.
0 ups, 5y
How do you know? He says to subdue the earth and have dominion over it to Adam. Not you have the ability to, but you maybe shouldn't. You can't twist those words like that. It goes against their meaning.
0 ups, 5y,
1 reply
I already told you that white folks used to believe that blacks don’t have souls! Racism is completely analogous to speciesism.
0 ups, 5y
Except black people are the same as any other human. Animals are totally different, and the Bible clearly states that. If you don't believe it, I don't know what to tell you.
0 ups, 5y,
1 reply
Again, what God means by “dominion” is that we CAN exploit nonhumans, not that we SHOULD do it. Might ≠ right.
0 ups, 5y
So if God tells us to do something we can do that but we shouldn't do it?
If God says to do it = right.
0 ups, 5y,

Humans are made in God's image. Animals are not. Humans have eternal souls. Animals are just bodies. Once they die they're dead.
0 ups, 5y
WHERE DID YOU GET THIS CRAP??? ANIMALS HAVE MORE SOULS THAN HUMANS! ANIMALS HAVE SPIRIT WHAT THE HUMAN TOTALLY FORGOTTEN! ALSO, THEY REINCARNATED HERE AS SAME AS YOU AND THEY GO BACK THE SAME SOURCE AS YOU.ALSO, THEY CAN SEE AN ANGELIC REALM MUCH BETTER THAN US.
0 ups, 5y,
1 reply
That’s exactly what whites believed about blacks. God created humans alongside nonhumans and originally intended for nonhuman animals to be humans’ companions. What kind of cultish, pseudo-Christian sect can possibly be teaching you such speciesism?! Animals clearly have bodies that are nearly identical to ours, besides color and shape. Sentience should be the only criterium in determining who’s worthy of moral consideration, and the Bible never said that nonhumans are soulless.
0 ups, 5y,

So you think a cow has a soul that can be forgiven and saved from sin?
0 ups, 5y,
2 replies
The cow’s soul doesn’t need forgiveness, as the cow can’t even sin. We should be, if anything, regarding nonhuman animals to be more special than humans are because nonhumans can’t sin. They’re completely pure and innocent. Why wouldn’t God make them sentient if they clearly seem sentient?
0 ups, 5y,
1 reply
Pretty sure cows don't have souls. Souls are eternal. I don't think cows are eternal. Unless you believe in cow heaven. Sounds a bit Hinduistic. :-|
0 ups, 5y
No, all animals share the same heaven. Why would I discriminate? And “cow heaven” only sounds Hinduistic because cattles are the animal you chose.
0 ups, 5y,
1 reply
All animals share the same Heaven? Where'd you get that? Certainly not the Bible.
0 ups, 5y
When did God ever say that humans and nonhumans don’t share the same afterlife? Especially when the Garden of Eden was so peaceful that the lion eats straw with the ox.

Also dry land and plants were made on the same day, so dirt must be a kind of plant.
0 ups, 5y,
1 reply
SMFH! That’s a false analogy fallacy, and you know it! Dirt doesn’t behave like plants, and they share no biological similarities. Dirt might’ve actually come before plants, anyways.
0 ups, 5y,

Your point was that land animals and Adam were created on the same day so that makes them the same. I refuted that point.
0 ups, 5y,

But obviously, humans and nonhumans have much in common. Nonhumans were even intended to be humans’ companions. You didn’t refute anything. You’re just an disgrace to creationists like myself.
0 ups, 5y,

I don't know if you're a Christian or not, but insults aren't the way to put points across. We're supposed to be different from the world.

I don't think beings made in the image of God and beings God told us to have dominion over are equal.
0 ups, 5y
Might ≠ Right

God just meant that we’re more powerful than they are. He didn’t say that we can kill them. It makes much more sense that Adam & Eve having eaten the apple is what made them see themselves as gods over the other animals. Why would God ever make it okay to not be compassionate to His creationists that appear to be sentient?

Charles Darwin originally conceived his theory of evolution as an excuse to justify racism & speciesism, since he felt that the Bible wasn’t speciesist enough.

I insulted you because of how outrageous your logical fallacies were.
0 ups, 5y,

I don't think you read the passage you referenced. "Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things."
Then it goes on to say not to eat flesh with the life thereof. Also known as raw meat.
0 ups, 5y
In most instances where the Bible says “meat”, it actually just means “food”. If it was actually referring to flesh, it would say “flesh”.
0 ups, 5y,
1 reply
You assume my points were illogical, but you couldn't back it up with the Bible. I have been. God told Noah after the flood it's okay to eat animals now. Also He commanded Israel to sacrifice animals. So yes, humans can kill animals and it's not necesarilly a bad thing.
0 ups, 5y
At least my points weren’t backed up by misinterpretations of the Bible. Why would God suddenly change His mind? Besides, there weren’t even any animals left after the flood! In Genesis 9:3-4, God said that we cannot eat anything with blood in it.
