Are you referring to the euthanisation of animals or people? In both cases I think there are certain circumstances where euthanisation is not morally wrong. Such as in the case of people or animals who are terminally ill or who are living their lives in constant pain and suffering.
I believe people should have the right to choose when to end their lives as painlessly and as dignified as possible, Given that that choice was made by the individual and not influenced by anyone else.

Depends on the situation. Nothing is ever black and white, but a billion shades of gray.
Question for those who say it's OK if the person wants it because of illness or pain. How is that different from someone overdosing on pills or putting a gun to their head? Whether it's with the approval of a doctor or family members or done out of the blue they are still taking their life. How can we support assisted suicide and say it's dying with dignity but have suicide prevention month and suicide hotlines to prevent others from ending their lives if that's what they want to do? Seems contradictory to me.
Was hoping to get more of a discussion going but all we got on this post was Timid, Sydney and Octavia having pony and jelly/jello flame wars, lol. Oh and Peewee, nodding and and saying hmmm.
