It's kinda scandalous I'm a Hispanic married to an African and I can't stomach spicy food.

Hispanic doesn't necessarily mean spicy food is a natural must, a coworker of mine is from Venezuela, she cant even do black pepper, lol! I was surprised to discover that many dishes from her family are surprisingly bland.

I like those Ranch Corn Nuts. Sweet is hard for me... I guess Raspberry Zingers. But I like to bake those Blueberry Muffins where you buy the mix for like a dollar at the store lol. For some reason, they are so good to me.

Never had those, but jiffy cornbread mix is ok in a pinch if you like sweet cornbread...I dont consider it purist though, gotta be made from scratch in a cast iron skillet for me!

I use to make jerky with a dehydrator. I made it so hot. Didn't get the sweet aspect so much. I've never tried turkey jerky. Is it made with the white meat or dark?

When I've made it I used the breast meat just because it's easier to get even slices, so white, but you could use dark meat too. It turns out really good actually. I use a mixture of soy sauce, garlic powder, a touch of honey, cayenne pepper, black pepper, a few drops of liquid smoke, and salt to marinate it over night, then into the dehydrator for as long as it takes to get dry. Haven't made any in a while, but might just have to break it out soon since I'm thinking about it.

I'm more a fan of chick-fil-a waffle fries myself, but wendy's are good. And it's hard to beat a good fresh batch of McD's fries.

You actually can reheat them without them getting worse, but it requires flash frying them...which, ain't nobody got time for that!

I saw a thing on how they make them a while back, can't remember the whole process but I know they are fried twice to maximize the crispy factor. Makes sense, fry once and the steam from inside them softens the outside again, fry it again to get rid of the moisture and crisp them up again.

Yep, details are hazy for me too but that sounds right.

Chips and salsa is right up there. I get pretzels for work as they are actually a good snack and cashews.

As to sweets, Black cherries

I don't really get into the typical snack pretzels, they just don't appeal to me but the big soft ones are great. Also, the flavored Snyder's pretzel pieces are good. Ever had Dot's pretzels? Those are the best snack pretzels I've tried, they just have a different flavor that I actually like. They're just hard to find. I was flying home once sitting next to an oil rigger that had bought a bunch of them to take home with him and he let me try them, I've only found them once since then.

Cashews are good, but I prefer pistachios. Cherries I love, but for some reason I never think to buy them. My favorite fruit is a fresh peach that has been actually tree ripened. Can't find those in the grocery store, you have to get them from farmers markets or seasonal fruit stands. Lucky for me I live in the peach capital of the world :)

Snyder's pretzels are great. But it makes my heart do a John Bonham impression.
