But it's pretty sad when you see Tree Huggers these days putting spikes in trees, simply because they don't believe in managing the forests as a renewable source (i.e. replanting). These morons probably haven't worked a day in their pitiful lives.

That would be interesting, but impossible in a finite world. That is also simply untrue, just look at the deforestation data or studies on forests historically. Stop with the bs and unsubstantiated opinions please.

they are constantly expanding, and almost all the trees cut down for "deforestation" is mainly from tree farms.

I'm just letting your own statements show your bias and mindset for you ;) since you escalated this into insults I figured I'd retaliate, though it's not very productive. I would much prefer to debate what efforts are worthwhile on fighting pollution, climate change and megacorporations sacrificing the world for short term profit.

By the way, great job on the tree planting! A sustainable forest management industry is very important, wood is one of the best resources that if used sustainably could help sequester carbon as well as being the main construction material. I think we in the west should also start looking into using bamboo as a construction material/forest crop. Due to it's speedy growth. It's use in glulam could radically increase the amount of structural materials produced per hectare. Though forests might be better for the biology, so there should be some research.

Without the context of acting in a group your idealistic phrases are worthless. Used to placate the masses to stop them from getting up together and doing something. You are blatant example, instead of encouragement of positive behaviour and change, you use the phrase to champion the cause of the status quo. "go back to your cave and do something to your little plot on earth, don't cooperate" => this is a great way of divding people up and diminishing their collective power. A lone ant can't do much, but an ant in a colony has the power of the colony behind it, thus its labour carries weight.
