Its nice. The meme has better chances of getting promoted up if more people interact with it, and comment is one way of doing that. Im not sure of this but like my this meme was pushed back to page 2 from 1 a few hours ago. But after i replied to all the comments, it was on front page again.

But of course upvotes is one thing we all want cause that's how you filter the best memes. You can go through your upvote list if you need a laugh again. so yeah if you like a meme, upvote it :)

Then it wouldn't have got so many views. But like the dude explained above, imgflip counts views from other sites too so probably they shared it on some other media and it got views from that. But people can't upvote unless they have an account on imgflip
