While I still say the "trauma" she's talking about is inflated and exploited by her parents, I agree that she can't be expected to be able to respond to questions on the fly, for several possible reasons;
1: The aforementioned exploitation, meaning it's not /really/ her own agenda, not entirely at least.
2: Plenty of people are no good at public speaking even /with/ a script to read from, and plenty are balls at it with no script or prepared answers at all, that's nothing unusual.
3: If she truly is on the autism spectrum, that would hamper her ability to interact with others at all, let alone off the cuff. Especially with reporters asking unexpected questions, not to mention overly verbose and complex multi-step questions that are difficult for /anyone/ to follow.
