Technically mods can, by making all submissions by approval only. But then it would get cumbersome having to approve everything. I dunno, I could see it both ways.

Yeah, I like to trust that people read the stream rules and post accordingly and in fairness most people do. It's just this one particular user that refuses to comply. I have sent them many gentle reminders about the stream rules but to no avail. If a blocking option was enforced I could see how some users might abuse it to block users that they might have a personal vendetta against.
something is broken, i can no longer approve or disapprove submissions...I have one submitted that won't go through and I was also trying to help with the user in question but cannot edit/comment/disapprove anything as a mod...
I got it figured out now...ok, must have been a glitch because I can see it now. I was going to delete the other one but I see now you have struck up a conversation with them, so your call.
I'm going to see if he responds in a civil manner to his current meme before approving any future ones. Thanks. He might be having trouble with English so if that's the case we may find a way to help him. If he's a troll time will tell.
That seemed to be the direction you were headed so good deal.

I have no idea why that would be. I changed the submission settings to need approval. Your name is still listed as a mod so I don't know what the problem is.
Too bad there's no filter like to approve only certain users who submit. Or even limit the number of posts they make. This one looks like a troll to me
I would say then do not set approval to auto, and be sure all other stream mods know not to approve this users memes. They will eventually go elsewhere.
no, the mods already have the power to delete a meme, to ban someone is kinda extreme , even Purgey has a right to free speech and the mod has a right to kill the meme
