Sydney, it deviates much from the saga of the real Ragnar Lothbrok, and the writers have certainly thrown in some PC-obligatory multi-culturalism and misleading feminist stereotyping in the portrayal of ancient Scandinavian women. But the series is still very interesting, the characters well-faceted. And I appreciate the overall respect they have shown to the traditional Norse gods and path.

I tried to watch this but the terrible acting ( particularly from Johnathan Rhys Meyers) put me off. Maybe I should give it another go 🤔

Yeah, despite some drawbacks, the show is charming and captivating.

Although, I think it's time for it to end. It's not as good as it used to be.

It has really lasted awhile, a lot of fun over the years. I wondered what CW would do once they were absent of their one show with appeal for viewers over 20, then last week found out they are planning a Dark Shadows reboot. So hopefully this will be one for the adults to enjoy.
