-Climate activists were the ones who cleaned up that mess.

-By virtue of being a 420 celebration, this event took place back in April. Meaning it predates the climate rally you’re associating it with.

This was fake news constructed to stir up anger on the Right, and you took the bait.

I'm associating it with the very Climate Extinction Rallye held in London in April 2019 (the recent Australian fake news just brought it to my attention).
As a habit such big events bring about side events by free riders. The 420 Event was a Mariuhana Event (which makes the whole story even more peculiar) wich was an unauthorized event flush against so you can wager your ass people switched between both events.
