I knew some elderly guy that due to not wearing his dentures or something, pronounced tomatos, "Tamarres," like he was saying out the side of his mouth.
Since we met in a community garden and that's the ONLY thing he though anyone should grow, got to hear him say it a whole lot, and it became a joke with some of us.
