Except not in this case because the meme was about old English. It would be correct if he said “homie” in the singular form. He could’ve also said “Where are ye homies?”.

I'll have to go with the cliches, but it's true. My wedding day and seeing my wife walk down the aisle, and meeting my daughter for the first time in the hospital. Hard to beat that.

Really hot. Hot as in hottest day of the year hot in a hall with no air conditioning. As we took our vows a thunderstorm rolled through. It was literally Do you... BOOOM!

At least the storm cut a lot of the humidity out. Of an next year is 20 years so I think Mother Nautre was just shooting off some fireworks to celebrate taking me out of the dating pool.

We talked about this at work today. The cool stories we tell tend more to be when we were being extremely stupid. Getting up in the morning after getting totally wasted to find I left my sunroof open and there was 8 inches of fresh snow in it. Funny right? Only I was almost black out drunk and had been behind the wheel. It's a funny story because I lucked out and didn't kill anyone.

But I guess I have one I should feel proud about. In high school a larger than average girl decided for me that we were going out. I didn't like her and said no. That weekend I was home playing poker with a couple of friends drinking beer and smoking cigars because my parents were off again. (Bermuda that time I think) There wasa knock at the front door and it was the girl. She demanded that i meet her up at the end of the street. (It's a small mountain that end and dark and quiet) I said sure and closed the door and went back to playing poker.

Ten minutes later she knocked again and repeated her demand that I go up and talk to her. I told her I would be right up and went back to playing poker.

Five minutes later there is a thumping at the door. I opened it and a large man was standing there. "You coming up so I can beat the shit out of you?" He asked and I replied, "No, want a beer?"

He spent the night playing poker with us using her money she paid him to beat me up with.

You have a lot of great stories. Geez why can't some people take no for an answer.

The three times I did pot, in June, July and August, respectively. All three are veey memorable in their own way.

Would you keep doing it if it was legal?

No, because, as relaxing as it is, I don't feel like I really need it. There are people in a much greater need of her both healing and relaxing powers that I am.

I know that I participated once, but I think it was so traumatic that I blocked the memory. :)

Going to my first baseball game

I honestly can't choose one single event. Kissing my husband for the first time - the births of each of my children - the first time I saw one of my books at B&N. All cherished memories :)

Looks like marriage and children are the winners here :) Being a published author must feel unbelievable.
