Agree. But here's the problem:
In the same way that socialism's evolution to communism is inevitable, capitalism's evolution to corporatism is also inevitable. So it's just a matter of mass poverty where the state thrives (communism), or mass poverty where corporations thrive (corporatism). Or in other words, political totalitarianism or economical totalitarianism, both resulting in your slavery.
Essentially, while I agree that capitalism is much more compatible with freedom than socialism is, that freedom is relatively short-lived. Once corporatism and consumerism get established, you can forget about your freedom.
