I'm not so sure I agree with them by the way. I think they are putting too much weight on how much people are worried about illegals. It does appear that they care more about the illegals than they do Americans. At least the optics of it. I get why they want to end the imprisonment but now is not the time.

There is certainly a lot of lazy American's. We're not that far removed from the Wall-E people, oblivious to the world they are living in.

I'm not sure where I even stand on illegals. Adults who came here in the past, came here to work their asses off and have done so. This new group, I'm not so sure about. But, there is something to be said for anyone willing to travel that far and under such extreme circumstance for a better life.

It's a theme in western countries. Being ungrateful for your advantages. Not all, not all but alot.

I think studies have shown 1st generation immigrants aren't as radical as the next couple of generations, especially Muslims. Probaly because the 1st knew what they were escaping from.

I heard those being turned back at the border were counted. I seriously doubt ICE was as active under Obama. He probably did deport alot of criminals but how would that have been limited under the Trump administration?

My guess is that those turned away at the border are being counted too. The admin would not want those numbers being lost.
