Yep. I was ion a Walmart on Saturday (Labor Day Weekend). The store was mobbed with customers. And there were only 2 cashiers on the job. I think I had another birthday while I was waiting in the checkout line because I refuse to use the self-checkout.
I never see more than 2 live checkers anymore. And live checkers ask if I want a bag. I want to ask if they want me to pay, but so far I’ve held it together.
And for the live cashiers, I’m always tempted to bring my own counterfeit detecting pen. If they don’t trust me, and want to check my cash, I think it would be amusing to check the change that they give back to me.
This is how restaurants want customers to handle the jobs that traditionally were handled by waitstaff. SO WHAT'S NEXT... WILL THEY EXPECT CUSTOMERS TO PREPARE THEIR OWN FOOD ALSO? BUS THEIR OWN TABLES?
