Forcing a left handed person to be right handed has been proven to cause learning disorders, stuttering, dyslexia (while it isn't too problematic, it can make math and reading a bit of challenge growing up) and other issues. It would be best to let the little one grow up left handed or maybe they will develop cross-handed or be ambidextrous as they grow older to compensate
