What happens is even though I often get in a first or early comment, they always end up at or near the bottom of the thread dispute often having more upvotes and or replies than the later comments that move above them. If a comment is made before another and has more upvotes/replies, it should stay above any comments made later which have fewer. The downvotes offset the upvotes. That's the way I understand it anyway. See, already on this thread before I upvoted your comment yours had one upvote and mine had two, and mine was made first on this meme, but mine is at the bottom.

I don't think it necessarily means Downvotes. I notice my comments move up and down and my upvote count doesn't change. It has to do with the time of the comment as well as how many responses to that comment. I think?
Lmao No joke, that happened recently. I was reading your meme and did a double take when I saw my name. Yeah, I have a very dedicated troll. I feel sad that she has nothing better to do with her life than downvote everything I do on this site. Oh well, haters gonna hate and Imma keep having fun despite it. I think the site should change to only allow a a users to cast a very limited number of downvotes per day, and if they constantly downvote certain user(s) it should be flagged to the mods as abuse. That would definitely help. BTW I've also noticed craziness being down voted in her comments a lot lately :(
I don't even get why there is a downvote option anyway. If someone doesn't like a meme or comment why can't they just be mature about it and ignore? Seems to me to only feed the trolls. I think a flag option is sufficient for those who go against the imgflip guidelines.
I agree. Don't know if you were around back then but I once hosted down with downvotes weekend calling for the mods to end downvoting. It definitely feeds the trolls and gives them effectiveness. At least they changed it so our subs don't go back into submission because of downvotes. I and others used to have lots of subs go back into submission and I've even had my comments on MY OWN memes to my friends be downvoted to low rated and hidden :/
No, it's not so much the NSFW stuff. I've had totally PG fun and silly stuff downvoted to oblivion for no apparent reason. And I've seen it happens to others too
