Imperialism is inherently evil, I lived back when the Southern States succeeded I would have joined the Confederacy because they were pro-states-rights, pro-community, and pro-democracy.

Even the symbols under Abe's arms on his memorial are FASCIST symbols. The fascis are what they are called, and they were used by the Italian Fascists. Ugh.

The Republican Party was formed in 1850. Lincoln was elected in 1861. Making him the first Republican President. Ever.

A central element of Teddy Roosevelt's Republican party was universal healthcare.

Eisenhower was a staunch support of Unions.

GW Bush's granddaddy was the treasurer for Planned Parenthood. He felt it was important to make sure women had free/cheap access to birth control.

A long time ago, Republican's used to be the progressive liberal party. Democrats were the conservative party.

That's clearly not the case today.

It’s highly immature to call someone an idiot and say they have no concept of history just because you disagree with them. Modern politics are different based on different needs of the nation. Would I be a Republican in 1800 or even 1850? Yeah, probably. The nation needs different things at different times, but the Republican Party’s moral and political platforms have been pretty consistent minus a couple things here and there.

4. Extend minimum wage;

5. Improve unemployment benefit system so it covers more people;

6. Strengthen labor laws so workers can more easily join a union;

7. Assure equal pay for equal work regardless of sex.

That's nothing like the Republican platform of today. Nothing.
