I'm a one handed driver too. Usually at the very bottom. Like I hate driving my husband's car has a middle bar like the one shown here.

my commuter car has the same problem, it's a little annoying as i also sometimes like to keep my hand there. I've been driving it long enough now though that it doesn't really bother me any more.

Like most left handed people, I have strong ambidextrous tendencies and I drive with what ever hand feels right at the time. (no pun intended) This is especially true now that I have controls for everything on the wheel and don't need the left to reach them.

Nice to meet another lefty. My brother and 2 of my aunts are lefties and I have this theory. Is your long term memory really good? My brother and aunts have an uncanny memory for details 20-30 years back.

Funny too, because it irritates me when the "h" is left off of my name. Maybe H is my letter? LOL

F & G b/c I read 10 & 2 with a steering wheel airbag can cause more injuries and 4 o'clock & 8 o'clock helped prevent them ...hmmph who knew?

Yea, I'm not sure why they teach us 10 and 2 in driver's ed. C looks like broken arms and ribs waiting to happen.

I know that's not really funny but adding "...waiting to happen" made me smile a bit ..maybe they just haven't changed since air bags became standard on steering wheels? <shrugs>

I wear glasses so most likely the impact of an airbag and broken lenses on my face would make me want broken arms instead. Lol.not sure. Hopefully neither of us will have to experience that.

Yes hopefully not!! Never thought about impact on glasses ..one more reason to NOT do C otherwise known,as "the grandma too close to the steering wheel" position
