But that casserole was evil! I wish I had your mom growing up. Mine would literally grab a spoon and shove it down my throat or dump it over my head. I was always thankful to have it dumped on me in the end! Because then I didn't have to eat it! 😝

I buy Barilla pasta but whenever I see Mueller's on the shelf I think the same thing lol

Though as pasta goes it does not tend to be very costly anyway. But a 10 for 10 sale cannot be passed by!

I hear ya. I'm generally a very frugal shopper, but there are a few things I'll only buy in a certain brand. I didn't believe it for a long time, but my wife convinced me over the years that certain brands of pasta are a lot better and worth a little extra cost. Barilla I think is the best basic pasta. But there are more expensive imported Italian brands that are amazing.

I'll only but Land O Lakes butter too lol. But many things I'm fine with any brand or generic

I swear they all seem the same. I do not eat any of the long noodles because they gross me out, I stick to the penne or rotini etc..

But you will not find me using Land-O-Lakes. I am loyal to Kerry Gold. I used to use only Land-O-Lakes, but I saw on a cooking show the lady was using Kerry Gold. I spotted it in the store and wanted to try it. I have never bought another butter since. Especially if I am baking a cake. I am also picky about my sardines. King Oscar or I don't want it!

Yeah I'm not a fan of long noodles either. Everyone makes fun of me because I make spaghetti with Cavatapi lol

I've never tried Kerry Gold but I'll have to since you suggested it.

I also only use King Arthur flour. It's so much better than other brands IMO

And for baked goods I stick to King Arthur cake flour. My mother-in-law had diverticulitis and she said she can tell the difference because it's easier on her stomach.

I have never tried either of those, but seeing that panelle makes me want to do a lasagna casserole using that! I bet it would be good!
