Just do what I did and put the word out. Your profile will show your old user name for 30 days. Go look at mine to see how they show it. Just let all your peeps know about the change if you do it.

Go to your settings and change it there. In the upper right where you would usually get the drop down menu choose "settings" and go to the box that has your username. Your profile will show "previous username" and what your name used to be for 30 days. That way people will know who you are and your friends won't have to wonder.
