So what I found was one sentence in an anti-Trump article that said "It’s theoretically possible to have a liberal nationalism, even a socialist nationalism, that welcomes foreigners interested in joining the nation’s ranks."

So, small letters, in the sense of it's possible to be a nationalist and still embrace not-racist views.

But, of course, that doesn't stop them from pulling out the stop signs and screaming blood over something that small.

Maybe there's another article I'm not aware of, but somehow this seems about right.
