I mentioned in a previous meme that I want to see what they'd do with an all-white cast of "Friday."

That pic is perfect, it cracks me up every time.
You can actually see the barely contained insanity bubbling beneath that expression like it was gif.

haha, that's the face of someone with a meat cleaver under the mattress and an altar with a gazillion pics and candles to some guy name "Tyrone" from college in the attic.

HA! That is so true! He looks like a psycho!

Oops, my bad, I meant Ms Chocolate. I was supposed to add it in, but I keep rearranging what I type and forget the extras sometimes.

He looks loony too, but it's for a role.
She's got that look of someone who got twisted inside, and it started with a broken heart.

I do that too. Sometimes I really goof up what I'm trying to say while I'm at it.

I like your descriptions of these people and their expressions.

It's like Catherine O'Hara, she's a master at that barely subdued insane twinkle in the eye. If you ever saw After Hours, haha, she might have been the scariest thing in that movie of insane people and situations.

Sometimes I go back and wonder what was my point again. My meandering run-ons don't help either, haha.

Thanks, I try. I usually mess up, but I try...

Very few have that special sort of... "thing" going on. I half wonder if it isn't because they may be a little insane in real life. LOL... I haven't seen After Hours. Maybe while the kids are out tonight I'll see if I can find it somewhere.

I run off on my own rabbit trails too. One thing always leads to another!

After Hours is an obscure little ditty directed by Martin Scorsese that slipped under the radar. Some yuppie goes Downtown for a date and ends up in a strange hellish episode of a night filled with deranged locals.

It's one of my all time fave movies.

1985! Yes please! I just searched that and it looks good. That is one of my favorite time periods for movies anyway. I was only in about the 4th grade when that came out, so that may be why I never heard of it.

1984 but ?
2 ups, 5y
Not sure I have heard of that either. Gonna have to search it. Is it good?

"5 ft 2 Ralphie boy?

WHY???????????

You must have had YUGE hair in 1985."

You lost me, but I'm hearing that in Ed Norton's voice.

Macchio a heart throb lol

The 80's were the ugliest decade.

You claim you DIDN'T destroy 23% of the ozone layer with your 80's hair spray???????????????????
2 ups, 5y
Oh I did the hair. In the 90's, but it still was up to the friggin ceiling. I went through a massive sized can of Rave #4 every few days. My hair was teased high, the sides were shaved, the lipstick was black, the eye liner was Alice Cooper worthy. It was like Halloween every day.

You were a goth?

I knew you had huge hair.
2 ups, 5y
Yeah. I was actually a little mash up of goth, punk, and metal. To the horror of my peers. Because you know, you can't like but one of those types of music or dress in more than one style. If you do you have disgraced someone somewhere. LOL

No one heard of it, haha. I saw it on tv years later. Something like Scorsese bombed with some big flick so he decided to go back to his roots and go indie style on that one.

Lots of familiar faces. Not a giant kaboom of a movie, but I always really really liked it.
Mostly pretty mild, but yeah, there is stuff that may merit keeping the kids away when viewing.

It has Ralph Macchio in it. Does anything say cheese more than that?

Nolte was good in it. He's always good.
1 up, 5y
When I was a teenager, not much pleased me more than the sight of old Ralph. LOL. Heart throb!

This is the Karate kid rehearsals spliced together.

You can really see how good of an actor Morita was. Even in rehearsals.

I love the 80's stuff. A lot of it is kind of cheesy, but that's part of what makes it so good.

Same deal with 007.
I was never a fan, saw maybe one ages ago, but I still got irritated when Pierce Brosnon got cast obviously to win over tha ladiez...

I wonder if this new one will also be an Islamic lesbian trans vegan with anxiety issues yadda yadda
2 ups, 5y,

Naww, she'll be the new 007 but Bond will be called out of retirement.

This should kill the franchise, which is great as it irritates me. Just more woke propaganda. But who knows? Maybe they'll pull it off but I'm tired of seeing women kicking bigger men across the room without breaking a sweat.

Yeah, I heard about that. He even tries to pull a move on her.

Great way to pass the crown, "Here you go, to the person who can never be me"
Hey, she's even prettier than Brosnan, so woo woo on that front!
2 ups, 5y,
1 reply
Yeah, but she's so sassy and strong that's she'll resist him... FOR NOW.

You should have seen this one press release on it. Literally what I said above yet more flowery and sjw'y, yet she will eventually submit to Bond's charms.
2 ups, 5y,

Saw something I half forgot already about the same, plus if she's replacing him, why is he still around to guide her?
2 ups, 5y,

Handing over the franchise yet hedging their bets? Craig wants to retire. I guess they want to ease into change.
2 ups, 5y,
1 reply
Like I said, I'm basically unfamiliar with the Bond movies. But they want change? Invent a new character for a new movie. Hedging on a proven franchise by changing it in a way sure to irk most of the loyal fanbase they're banking on is not the wisest.
1 up, 5y
You'd think they'd learn after estrogen Ghostbusters. Bond is an icon. But no one can come up with good original ideas. It's like making Captain America a Mongolian Tranny. Maybe they can pull it off but I don't care. Never seen a single Bond movie. I'd rather see a movie about the SAS in Africa in WW2.
