no i don't think so, i think it's like your typical "band of neighborhood kids" sort of group. the kid's name is "chunk" and he plays the annoying whiny kid whose weight is picked on at the amusement of the rest. movies these days probably couldn't get by with that sort of stereotype or political incorrectness, gotta love the older ones where everyone knew it was a joke.
