Milk

Milk is pretty normal in my book. In fact I've been drinking it since the day I was born, in various forms.

Yeah, I drink milk everyday, in fact, I was drinking it when I wrote that comment. I still think it is a little bit weird to drink milk that is not from your mom, let alone a completely species. It’s also weird to think about the first dude who drank milk. He must have been a real embarrassment to his father (“you did what with the cow?”). But whatever I’ll still drink it until I die.

You're right, we've normalized cow dairy but then again some places drink goats milk. I saw an experiment once where people were testing milk and liked it until they were told it's dog's milk. I wonder if they were told it was human milk they would have had a similar reaction. I won't even use donated milk for my babies because I know mine has everything they need and seems strange to give it from another person much less an animal.

Deep fried Cicadas. They have a nutty flavor like sesame seeds.

Periodical Cicadas have either a 13 or 17 year life cycle depending on the brood. They're not around very often. I've eaten them only once, might never have the chance to again.

Interesting, and what a shame this part of Texas has nary a cicada. I'm so very disappointed I won't be able to partake. ;)
