Gotcha now, you're right. We lose our TV remote constantly, and there is one tiny little thumb stick on the bottom of the screen that you have to rock back and forth ever so carefully to make it do what you want. It's good for volume and on/of function, that's pretty much it.

My kids like to lose the remote in the couch cushions and then frantically make me search for it when the "Are you still watching" message pops up on the screen

don't get me started on instant gratification...my daughter's generation will never know the pain of sitting through commercials or heaven forbid having to wait till next week to see another episode of your favorite show.

That wasnt so bad to me, the step backwards was when the channel guide was just a constant scrolling through all the channels and you had to wait forever to find the one you wanted. I hated that. Fortunately (or unfortunately?) we didnt ever have cable growing up, so it was only an issue when I went to my grandparents house, which was a lot actually. TV guide is pretty nostalgic though, I'll give you that one!
