Second, you didn't indicate at all that your intent was anything other than implied by the partial quote, so you don't get to claim cleverness in the absence of any evidence.
Third, you concealed the year it was uttered. Nothing you say alters that fact.
Fourth, my point still stands : you do not claim offense at the position of Democrats from the same year as this quote. Selective outrage, indeed.
