It's been a couple months since I've last seen one. I guess I was right when I said the separate streams would kill it.

I got 285 upvotes 2 months ago... not sure if this was before the change or not... basically can only get that number of upvotes on the fun stream...

The new streams may be part of it, but I still spend time in the main. It's also summer for most of us (not sure how many members are from below the equator) and I am super busy myself. I have to plan my memes ahead of time as I am busy with yard work, fishing and work. (Work has got so bad that I had to tell them no more coming in on my days off for meetings) Come fall it may pick up again.

SIde note: You and I tend not to agree politically, but I like a lot of your advice memes to your son. Also you occasionally slay it in Fun with some killer jokes.

I can't remember everyone on this site that disagrees with me politically, so I'll take your word for it. I'm not sure exactly what you mean by "advice memes to my son." But I'm glad you get some of my jokes. I'm trying to post more in the fun stream, but politics always draws me in.

I stay out the politics sections. It seems to be there to make people angry, not inspire debate. And my apologies about the advice to son, that's Burntfingerforge. But You do have a wicked sense of humor when posting in fun.

I DON'T think it's the streams. Fun has gotten where they'll leave the same mediocre memes near the top for DAYS. A meme that's not from "the few" will get FEATURED and within a few hours it has fallen off Latest, so it gets MAYBE 30 VIEWS. It's pretty much not worth posting there anymore.

And a LOT of what now gets in Fun is outright junk. People have moved to the streams because there is better quality. And even in a stream with maybe 50 followers you'll get more upvotes than in Fun.

Plus, memes in streams STAY available. New followers can see all the way back to Day One, not just what was posted in the past half-day like Fun.

I always had the impression site traffic on Imgflip slows down a bit in the summer.

Generally speaking though, I agree with you, there are not many that get that far these days.

Yeah, I remember that one. I'm beginning to think it's just mine that doesn't get upvoted anymore. I've had three 300+ upvoted memes, but none of them have come within the last 8 or so months.

You'll hit it again, you've been around long enough to know how this works. Sometimes it's the dumbest crap that hits big. The streams I do think have hurt the mega upvote potential, seems to have spread everyone's attention around to different places.
