Sounds like trying to decide whether the fox or the coyote is a better choice to guard the henhouse. Even if it made sense, it's beside the point.
The point is people should have the sense and integrity -- not to mention the humility -- to admit the heroes of their own camp aren't perfect and quit trying to rationalize away their moral failures. So long as Camp A won't tolerate a word spoken against Camp A's heroes, and Camp B does the same, the heroes of each camp get to continue their self-serving corruption & lies unimpeded.
It'd be a VERY different story if Camp A called its heroes to account for their moral failures, and Camp B did likewise. Then (and maybe only then), the heroes would feel the pressure to clean up their acts.
