And spare me the argument of it being a biased source. All sources that claim pot hasn’t caused any deaths are equally or more so biased, plus being innacurate.
but fair enough.
I certainly was thinking of the overdose factor, and I absolutely agree that habitual smoking of weed could lead to health issues, much the same way cigarettes are a slow killer.
so switch to edibles.there ya go....health issue resolved.
the site uses car crashes and weed in the blood as a foundational statistic.
which I can agree is a logical path, because weed does affect judgement and reaction times.
however, almost every example the driver was in question was also found having other intoxicants in their system.this, however,is a fairly moot point considering that we can view weed the same way we view booze in regards to operating while intoxicated.
oh look!
we already have laws on the books addressing that issue.
aaaand now I have gotten to the fear-mongering and incredibly dishonest claims.
they even trotted out the "a young man jumped to his death due to *gasp* MARIJAUNA.
I won't call your link "biased" I would call it "propaganda" and "anti-science".
but..
you are right.
there are certainly more than 0 deaths due to weed.
I have been vanquished.
*weed is still the safest recreational drug out there.
step out of the henry anslinger 1940's doll.
this ain't "reefer madness" territory.
Yes, too much of anything is bad. But sugar in itself doesn’t kill any more than weed does. Think about it, if weed was as common ingredient as sugar in our food, it would cause a lot more deaths than sugar does.
The question is, why do you need a recreational drug in the first place?
um..booze is a recreational drug.
and humans LOVE their hooch.
no matter the flavor..
be it booze,weed,gambling,porn..even facebook for some.
everybody has their little happy switch.
my issue is with the bad faith arguments, the demagoguery, the twisted fear mongering.
weed has a really interesting history in America.i totally recommend checking into it.
but you make a really strong point.
maybe the only point that needs to be made really:
too much of anything is bad.
that can be applied to..
well..
life.
as for my sugar assertion.my family are all in the medical fields.so I get a front row seat on the sugar lectures.i always watched a video yeeeeears ago called "sugar:the bitter truth".where an endocrinologist breaks down what sugar does to our bodies.
and was the primary cause of diabetes and heart disease.
it is a great video...not for everybody, but i dug it.
I wouldn’t recommend booze, weed, gambling or porn. So, I guess sweets are my vice. The difference is, I’m not likely to cause an accident, neglect my children, make bad decisions, etc. from consuming sugar.
