It’s like flushing a cockroach down the toilet. No matter how many times you flush it, it always finds away to crawl back up the bowl. Block one account & several will take its place. Best just to let the mods deal with parasites who harass others.

I think the trouble seems to be that they don't ever actually do anything. At least from what I have ever known or seen. Before the streams were separated we saw a lot more of that, but since they separated them we see less of that in the fun stream. But when it was going on prior to the change I never once saw that they did anything about harassment. I had someone follow me around by checking my comments on my profile. I did not want to argue with this specific jerk, and they stalked me. I went to sleep and woke up to a multitude of notifications from the guy. No one ever did a thing about it.

Imgflip does act if it goes past some line that only they know. We’ve seen troll accounts get deleted, even popular ones that turned bad and crossed the red line. Some of those people left, and some are still around but know that they can’t take it too far.

I have seen accounts get deleted, but usually it's spammers and never anyone who is being an actual internet bully. I do not use the word "bully" lightly either. I mean actual bullying. They allow the people who do that to keep at it FOR EVER. No one should come in here and be harassed. I have known people to delete entirely because they were getting threats and were essentially being stalked. And all they could do was flag a comment and hope for the best. I would LOVE to know where they draw their unknown line. Either way, if we could block those people in the first place it wouldn't be a problem, because we could handle it ourselves by blocking them. Even if you have to block their alts over and over. Still blocking would be better than how they handle it now.

But then the bastards will try using TOR or VPN. If I remember right, it IS possible for websites to block TOR browser from using them.

Speaking of IP bans, have you ever seen that video of that Russian Minecraft griefer kid who was abusing his moderator privileges get griefed back? The kid was screaming on the top of his lungs! It was hilarious.

IP bans are not fair honestly. Say someone is using a library computer because that is all they have, and some jerk comes in here and gets that IP banned. By the time they access the site using all of the computers in the place they all get banned and no one can ever use those public PC's for this site again. Or any other shared device for that matter. I can't get behind an IP ban for that reason.

If I remember right, IP bans only apply to a device, not everyone on the internet connection. I could be wrong, though.

What I am saying is if it is a SHARED COMPUTER (or other device) then no one else could use that same one to use the site. It would effectively punish everyone who uses that particular device, whether they are the ones causing trouble or not.

I would support IP bans.

I'm talking about how Vaga won't leave me alone. He keeps insulting me and trash-talking about me to other users. And every time I ask him why he's so mean to me, he just gives very vague, confusing explanations (often filled with insults) at an attempt to justify his behavior.

MadTitan decided to pour gasoline on the fire and have me and Vaga's relationship get even worse. At first, I hated MadTitan for doing it. But I eventually thought about and went "you know, what he did was kinda worth it". Thanks, MadTitan (if you ever read this)!

My gosh, it's like a chick gone fatal, this twerp. I've gotten this before, but from women, and not this bad (and I don't know why either, I'm no prize). He won't stop yapping about me, and he gets worse when I ignore him for a week or so.

Like I said.... I've so far only seen one use of such a feature in the hands of non-moderators.... abuse.... You should have seen how imgflip is overcrowded by people who make miserable statements and even downright insulting other users (even by name) and go berserk when being talked back to with REASON... a feature like this can make them feel great by blocking these good people... It's the kind of feature you DO NOT want if you don't wanna destroy a community.
