When you have so much money, living expenses are pocket change
When you have so much money, yearly health care costs are like a tank of gas
When you have so much money a drop in taxes won't make you invest in your business
When you have so much money, nearly all your money does nothing to help the U.S.

Yes, at this level not taxing someone is the same as giving them free stuff they don't need.
Ultimately, you can't get blood from a stone. The nation is going broke at over 1 trillion a year during good times yet you think the rich need to keep more money than they know what to do with?

Here's another mindblowing idea: If these rich people wanted to pay more money so badly to the government.. they could simply write the US Treasury a check. It's that simple. This is only a ploy bent on enforcing a socialist agenda.

How do you think MOST people get rich? Winning the lottery? Robbing banks? Robbing homeless people? No, the vast majority of wealthy people worked their asses off for that money and made wise decisions with it. You are incapable of seeing this and fueled only by jealousy.

Before WWII, only the rich were taxed.
Between 1950-65, the top tax rate (highly progressive tax rate) was on income above 200k and at 91% tax.

These were the greatest growth years in the American middle class.

Our current tax rates resemble NOTHING of an American past. Our American past and greatest growth has always been when we helped the little guy out and those at the top help pay for all of us to reach the top.

Most people get rich by getting a good percentage of a society to buy their goods and services. That requires roads, bridges, infrastructure and people with enough money to buy the goods and services.

The first thing a multi-national company does when it buys another company, is not hire employees. The first thing they do is fire employees and minimize workers. Any corporate tax cut should be based on the growth of jobs. I have no problem with companies paying no tax if their growth requires them to hire a massive amount of people. I have real problems with simply giving a tax cut with no strings attached.

So you're against the across the board tax cut. Also by your reasoning, the government gave you all you have, because they didn't take it all away.
