Well, some psychological research has been done about women dating older men. Of course when a guy has over a billion dollars, we can question a lot, but there are also some dates where the older guy is downright poor and still manages to date a younger woman, in which you could wonder if he's more of a father than a man to her, and that appears to be what such women sometimes seek. A kind of an alternate father, with the only difference that you don't have sex with your real father (well few exceptions as there are women who willingly do that with their father, but if you are one of them, I'd get worried, honest). And the joke is that these women do not always have a bad relationship with their fathers either. Now there are also young men dating older women, and although I never heard about research about that, I do deem seeking an alternate mother likely.
And after having been in a long-time relationship and even marriage, I must say that now that I'm single again, I do sometimes miss being a vulnerable little boy who can cry in the arms of the woman I love, and yes, even the time my woman is a little girl crying in my arms needing my support. Like a parent would do for their child. In the end it's more than good looks and sex, that it's all about. ;)
