I wouldn't like to live in a large city, too busy. I lived most of my life on an island (although connected to the mainland) it was a nice place to grow up but a little too isolated.
A small town would be much more to my liking.

I live in the 3rd most populated city in my state of Michigan and its about 140k

The state of Michigan on it's own has a higher population than the whole of Ireland. Less than 5 million people live here.

The metro detroit are has the same population of Ireland but hey I'm sure it's nice there

Preferably in a log cabin at the foot of a mountain beside a lake with a forest and at least 50 miles away from the nearest humans.
