Since humans are the biggest contributors to MCC, maybe we should be thinning the herd...

In the meantime I’m going to make a bacon burger

Wasn’t trying to trigger you. I was just telling you what I was about to have for lunch.

As for genocide, whatever it takes to thin the herd. After all, if we are going to quit eating meat, we are going to have a lot more free range animals roaming around

"Wasn’t trying to trigger you. I was just telling you what I was about to have for lunch"

Sure

"As for genocide, whatever it takes to thin the herd"

So you talkin' about animals or Humans?

What is your Fascination with 'Genocide'? is it the Word of the Week on your Calendar or what?

I've said it at maximum ten times over the oast month. Hardly a "Fascination"

What /is/ fascinating tho, is all the people Advocating it as a legitimate solution

He’s right though. You advocate ending animals raised for food in the name of MCC, but humans are the #1 reason for it. You can’t have it both ways.

Maybe you see it as if we eliminate numbers 2 through 100, we won’t need to eliminate #1.

" You advocate ending animals raised for food in the name of MCC"

Uhhh... I don't but never mind. I am all for a lowering of numbers but not for a complete stop. I don't know about you guys, but I'd rather die first than never eat meat again.

Genocide defined

the deliberate killing of a large group of people, especially those of a particular ethnic group or nation.
- Dictionary.com

the deliberate and systematic destruction of a racial, political, or cultural group
- Miriam Webster

The deliberate killing of a large group of people, especially those of a particular nation or ethnic group.
- Oxford

Key Words "Deliberate" and "Group"

Letting nature take it's course doesn't 'target' a specific subgroup.... I Mean Unless You think such 'sub groups' are some how inferior and would die off First..

and to steal a line from Batman Begins...

"I won't Kill you, but I don't have to save you."(unless you're trying to apply Asimov's First to Humans)

Let me put it this way. Would you find it Acceptable if you died a preventable death? (I.e. you get an illness that you can cure but that would be fatal if left unchecked, which it would be in the proposed system, or if you get wounded and don't get treatment in the name of Population control?)

To leave people to there fates, which are deaths we could have prevented, is not only Immotal and sadistic, but also inhumane.

on a personal level, Yeah It'd suck... not gonna Lie

But if we're SERIOUS about curbing Overpopulation... "Remove all the Warning Labels and see what happens."

I said it in my other thread when you jumped to Genocide, "If you're dumb enough to try to make Toast in the Bathtub the world doesn't need you passing on your genes."

"But if we're SERIOUS about curbing Overpopulation"

We'd colonize our Solar System. Its within the realm of our abilities, but just to expensive in the short term
1 up, 6y
"Colonize our Solar System"? NO, It is not within our 'abilities'... disregarding the cost of 'getting there' Mars would still prove Fatal in under a Year 'with our abilities'

and if Extra-Terrestrial Colonies were a serious option why is there not even a simple structure on the Moon (You'd think even a tiny, unattended 'Greenhouse' would have been put up there as a Proof of Concept)

and considering our propensity for Breeding it'd just be exporting overpopulation to the new "colonies" and we'd be right back where we started in 3? Generations after such colonies become actual Societies and not just Science Labs

""Colonize our Solar System"? NO, It is not within our 'abilities'... disregarding the cost of 'getting there' Mars would still prove Fatal in under a Year 'with our abilities'"

Theoretically we could build baseses for permanent Human habitation. Just too expensive.

"and if Extra-Terrestrial Colonies were a serious option why is there not even a simple structure on the Moon"

Its not a serious option. Not currently. Not with our current Rocket Technology, but spaceX has made quite the strides. Hopefully in the future, but not today.

"and considering our propensity for Breeding it'd just be exporting overpopulation to the new "colonies" and we'd be right back where we started in 3?"

Maybe? We could introduce a 3-2 child max policy.

"Generations after such colonies become actual Societies and not just Science Labs"

Well Id say that priccess would probably be shorter. More like after a decade.

I mentioned it because it would be a great "short term" solution. And we can always colonize a new solar system if the Sol system gets clogged up

A big part of it is the un regulated factories in China and Pakistan.

Leather belts, leather shoes, leather wallets, chicken eggs cooked pretty much any way, bacon, steak, pork ribs...

Nope, too many things I’m not willing to do without for anything or anyone. We all going to die eventually, might as well enjoy it while the earth is still rotating...

Why don't you, instead of stopping to, just reduce your consume of said items?

I only eat meat in 21 meals a week, that about as less as I am willing to go. Doing my part to keep farmers employed

for breakfast I usually rotate between Bacon, sausage, country ham, and pork chops. Dinner is some kind of meat (tuna salad, chicken salad, etc) For supper beef, chicken, turkey, or pork in some fashion.I Love Meat

(you do know I'm just continuing this to rib (no pun intended) with you right? I get why some people don't eat meat, I just don't get why they feel the need to try and convert others, i.e. the OP

"I Love Meat"

lol I noticed

"I just don't get why they feel the need to try and convert others"

Why do Christians and Muslims try to convert others to their Religon? Because they think their's the right way. Vegans and Veggies are try to combat Animal suffering by just not eating them. And admirable goal that more should strive towards... just not me. Cause I enjoy meat way too much flr thag.
