The Ukraine situation was a result of the EU's offerings. Let Europe grow up and take care of themselves and what they caused for once. They've had thousands of years to get their act together. The EU dangled membership to Ukraine, as well as NATO membership. Russia reacted. Then they waited for Obama to start a war with Russia.

Prior to the end of WWII, these were the people that used to chop off the arms of natives in their colonies. Dare anyone grumble, soldiers would grab a dozen, maybe 100 random village men, line them up, and shoot them. Now they sit and cry because Islamic 'refugees' are unaware that raping women in public on New Year's is impolite.

Yeah. I am too tired, but sure. I suppose in a way you are right, but your completely overblowning it. But I agree the EU should solidify more power, maybe establish a United army. We should be less reliant on the US. Which we are becoming thanks to Trump. And the Refugee crisis could have been solved better and integration will be a big problem. I also agree that the EU should have taken a harder stance against Russia in the Ukraine, but a part of the problem was also the Ukrainians who didn't qualify for EU membership for a variaty of small yet significant reasons.

All in all I basically agree, but think that could have been said in a way that doesn't make any European go:

Although I should point out that I intentionally sound crankier than I really am because it sounds funnier that way. So my rants are usually exaggerated.

It is kind of sad the perceived power and influence of the US is eroding or weakening because of that idiot, Trump, but also good in the long run for everyone else, because having centers of power independent America allows for more flexibility and self reliance. Should something happen to the US, everything gets thrown off. At least this way there's alternatives.

Obama made no such promise to Ukraine. Clinton & Co in 1-9-9-4 promised that RUSSIA would protect the Ukraine, the US and UK would, of course, recognize and respect its sovereignty & borders. You can't hold Obama to something someone else said TWO WHOLE DECADES prior when we don't even keep to offers to have their backS the day we make them.
