Joking aside, remember all the doom and gloom about the ozone layer. Haven't heard much because action was taken and it looks like it's filling back in. Global warming is a much larger problem and it's gonna take a lot of $$$ and commitment.

I'm not saying global warming isn't a problem. But I find it hard to believe that politicians and celebrities advocating for something to be done is actually making any real personal commitment.
I will take global warming more seriously when I see the people talking about it take it more seriously. As long as they are driving around, flying around in their private jets, and lounging in their big houses with the air condition romping. I am not going to be taking them seriously.
