I am a liberal, and I have been a registered Democrat for my entire adult life. I liked this guy and was hoping he would run for president. But, I am one of those quirky people who believes in the stuff he says. It is wrong for the person in this photo to demean women like he does here. It is also wrong for him to grope the half a dozen or so very credible Democratic women, who were among the many who came forward and spoke out.. I don't care who he is. But, the question came up again this week in the campaign. Chris Matthews asked Mayor Pete if it was right for the Democrats to force him out. They didn't. But, too many people are defending him who would turn on a moderate or a conservative in a second. That is the problem I am trying to illustrate. How can we ask the other side to live up to their "values," when we ignore ours, in a case like this? This is the test. Too many of us failed.
