I am a mixed race person whose Father was of Scottish ancestry. His skin was so white, you could almost see through it. The genetic combination with my Native mother made me look like a White guy with a light tan. In my generation that meant all doors were open to me. I just want everyone to be able to live in the world I lived in, with the mostly positive treatment I encountered almost everywhere. And, I just want them to get this treatment by just being themselves. Why is that so hard, for some people to accept? All they have to do is treat everyone the way they want to be treated. When in doubt about how to treat someone, they should ask themselves, "How do I want to be treated?" If they are still in doubt, they should remember, “All things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them.” Someone more famous than me said that.
