Unfortunately, it doesn't work that way. Evil is not a presence, spiritual entity, or natural law, but it is something that is (is, being the one intending to commit it), what is done, and the consequences of the deed.
Thus, justice doesn't often come in the time we wished, and in equal measure according to their deed(s).
This is why I am glad there is God; and although He too wouldn't often deliver proportional justice on our time table, He is not a blind and impersonal force. He is God, and He knows the very best way the offender can be punished to the fullest.
As if in dependent need of each other? Sorry, but no. I am not a Liberal so I would not speak of forcing by legislation, an egalitarian society, but we're all talk of how the world "Sucks" and how God doesn't answer prayers and now we say that there must be evil for there to be good?
Personally (Meme war aside), and this is my belief... one instant of evil is the cause of so much of it today. I speak of the sin committed by Adam and Eve. Just one sin, has infected and corrupted the whole world; our inclination for evil is also passed down from generation to generation (Genesis 3:1-19 & Romans 5:12-16).
A small example of this is Alcoholism. A "Perfect" family (with very young children), one day, can descend into a cycle of chaos the moment the father becomes an alcoholic. What ever weakness he has had comes to the fore; such as short-temper, and the young pattered their behavior after their dad. Thus, the cycle begins.
The children grows up twice as bad as their father (depending... we are all the product of our environment whether you agree with it or not); some more violent than the other, or the other more drunk, and when they marry (or not, but had children after premarital sex). The mistakes of the father, will almost always be passed down, if not checked quickly.
For there is always a counter to all things. For sins there are punishments. For sadness there is happiness. For Good there is evil. And for evil there is Good. Its a balanced world, but we have made it unbalanced
That's OK; but now that you know, how do you feel? Knowing now that you've learnt something you had never known before?
There is a wealth of knowledge at your fingertips! We, have never had this before. Previously, before the last century, only the intellectual elites and the rich and powerful have access to libraries locally and abroad. That means only the 1% are not only wealthy, but literate! They can afford it...
We can't! And in certain societies, the attempt to do so would incur worse than ridicule from the same fortunate lot, as it is seen as our move to leave our station or caste in life.
Now, we have the world of knowledge available to us... vast libraries we can buy or borrow at affordable price, or Google articles written by intellectuals from prestigious universities and institutes and listen to them.
With all this in mind, it is a bitter shame that we who can now afford to not take full advantage of it. We...the 95%.... would rather watch and text, and play video games for hours on end, than to finally do something our caste could have never been able to do centuries before!
We haven't quite finished our Meme war, but it seemed that we're the only one active. Nevertheless, I think I'm on the winning end. Shall we continue? :)
