This is true. The same goes for unusual templates - the newer users think they are novel and funny, and post them although most of us have seen the things too many times already.
I'm still fairly young, so you could say I have the best of both worlds: I understand most of the older jokes, but still have respect for more "modern" humor. I've seen memes from 40- 50- 60 year olds that I still don't get, but they seem to make the best, freshest, most clever ones by far. Your memes, for instance, are often very insightful and well thought out.
And it's always a pleasure to meet kids who have been tuned to a finer sense of humor, well beyond their age. I like to say that I am among them, since most of my childhood was spent either alone or with people 30-40 years my elder - although in more private settings I have been known to make very bland and/or tasteless wisecracks ;)
