Daily limit is a separate issue, and so are streams with automatic immediate posting.

In Fun, where submissions ARE reviewed first, I have had memes I submitted where I realized there was a problem--not just something like a minor spelling error.

I put a comment about why the meme actually didn't made sense and quickly submitted an alternate. The mod saw the comment and didn't feature the meme.

But didn’t the problem meme still count against your 2 submission limit to Fun?
I figure, if you delete a submitted meme before it gets featured, you should be able to replace it with another meme the same day.

I think you’re missing the point. I know we can delete a submission - before or after it’s featured. I’d just like it to not count against our limit when we delete it before it’s featured.

I'm not missing the point. There are two separate issues: 1) avoiding having it featured after you submit it, and 2) if you avoid that, don't have it count against your submissions.

You're not considering the significant amount of programming and additional data tracking that would be necessary on EVERY meme in order to be able to track the FEW cases where someone submits something, decides WITHIN THE SAME DAY they don't want it featured, GETS THE DELETION QUICK ENOUGH TO AVOID BEING FEATURED and then SUBMITS SOMETHING ELSE all within the same day.

I’m only talking about the 2nd issue. The first issue you list isn’t even an issue since was can delete submissions.
If the limit count is tied to the number of undeleted submissions, it’s not hard at all.
